Emergency First Aid at Work

CPRMarlin's EFAW course is designed specifically to meet the new requirements of the HSE for Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training. This new qualification is designed as a basic first aid course for staff in many different types of company, however although it meets national standards we still teach this in our own unique way!

We tell you why you do things!

We believe that it is important to understand why you are doing things since if you understand why you will remember what to do! Our students often tell us that this is one of the best things about our course!

Plenty of Resources

During our courses we have a mannikin to student ration of 1 per 2 students so you get plenty of practice. We also give our course participants access to a huge range of equipment that may be relevant to their needs.

Comprehensive Full Colour Course Manual

Every participant is provided with a comprehensive, full colour, 30 page Emergency First Aid at Work manual, which means that you can sit back and learn the important skills rather than writing notes! The manual also provides an excellent resource after the course since it covers everything you were taught. We digitally print manuals in small batches to ensure that they are always up to date. When the NHS and the Stroke Association recently changed the 'T' in the FAST test from Test to Time, our manuals were up to date a day later. Most other books will not be updated until their next major reprint!

Medically Correct Information

Our course follows the latest medical advice and advice from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). We also have a medical advisor with whom we consult to ensure that our courses provide you with accurate information.

Common problems include advice on plasters and medications. Students often tell us that they have been advised them not to use plasters on children. This is just an urban myth. The HSE have issued clear guidance on this issue.

Be assured that by attending one of our courses you will learn the most up to date information at all times.
